TMPGEnc.v2.53.35.130 big problems

hey all im kinda new to dvd ripping but not really new to encoding with TMPGEnc. so i use smartripper dvd2avi, and TMPGEnc. to encode, my problem is is that once TMPGEnc gets to 100% finished, it dosent say it was finished it pops up a little box and says:

Invalid MPEG Video Stream

im using TMPGEnc.v2.53.35.130 on my amd 950mHz with 256megs of ram. this has happened twice so far and its taking me 16-18 hours to encode each time. the resulting mpeg2 file will play in powerDVD, but i cant cut it in TMPGEnc, nor can i do anything with it in bbMpeg to split it, any advice would help.

oh and im doing 2 pass VBR.

Before you could use the DV file from DVD2AVI in TMpgEnc,
make sure you install first the VFAPI plug-in which come
from TMpgEnc.

i dont really understand what you said but yea i did install VFAPI, cause the d2v file was loaded into tmpeg no problem, im running windows2k by the way.

sorry the error i actually get says this:

"Illegal TMPGEnc System Stream" *EVERY* time a long encode finishes.
