Speed with CCE

Hi All,
Ripped 240 min., Movie today, and it's perfect with cce!
Question!, I need the best settings for the speed using cce...
I Have a P4 1600, but I think the Video was QUITE SLOW!. .620 ....
I Did A 4 pass, And the video alone took 14 hours!
Any Ideas as to a way to speed this up, without losing Quality?

Yes CCE is slow no matter what you do. A 4 pass 240 minute movie will actually be 5 passes when you include the vaf file. An RT of 1.0 would take 5 times 240 or 20 hours.
Then 14 hours is not that bad at all.
The important thing is the RT speed in CCE on the screen. I am doing a movie now and I have an RT speed of 1.5 and I am doing 4 pass on a 111 minute movie. So my encoding time will be 111 x 5 / 1.5 or 6.17 hours. I have an AMD XP 1700+ overclocked to 2000+ speeds. This setup is faster then your P4.

Drop your 4 pass to 3 pass. The video will suffer slightly, but not much and it will drop then length of the movie times the RT in overall speed.

Uncheck Downsample audio. Unless you are playing on an SVCD player this is not needed and will save you some time.

Your speed seems normal.
