At the begining of ever movie I do I add a short intro video(used flash/saved as avi/converted to mpg). The intro has a logo and at the bottom has Some scrollong text like:'To Start The Movie Press >>|' I edited the wait time in the videocd.xml to -1 so it wont goto the next track till the >>| key Is hit.

What I was wondering is there a way to have the intro video play with audio, when the intro video is done it will pause like before but to have the audio keep playing(looping)??????

You can... sort of.

Your mpg I understand it has video; simply make TWO menus; first one plays the video with sound; when it ends, it timeouts to ANOTHER menu that has only sound.

The problem is that, when the first menu ends, there will be a slight lapse while the player loads the second menu, so you cannot have "seamless" sound. Also, if you want the audio to loop, the loop will be just of the sound you have in the SECOND menu.

Usually, the player will left on screen the last image of the previous menu, and that will be of SVCD video resolution (480x480 in NTSC), although you can have higher resolution in still images... (720x480)... but perhaps you can do THREE to have an HQ image:

1) video+sound -> ends with a non-blank image and timeouts to 2
2) just a still image that is HQ (720x480, for NTSC) version of the image from 1. It timeouts immediately -the time to display just one image is very short- to 3
3) just sound -> the previous image is left on screen, and it has some sound that loops as desired

The viewer will see a video that ends in a menu in high quality and has a looping music fragment; (s)he will not know that in fact there were three different segments.

There can be some problems with certain players with NTSC/PAL conversions since (mine at least) thinks that an MPEG with only audio is NTSC and so, if the previous image is PAL, it switches to NTSC mode (and displays nothing since the looping stream is audio only) and doing so blanks the screen. The work around I use is to make all menues in NTSC (they are of less quality since resolution is lower), but saying the player that my TV is PAL only also works.

It would be nice to be capable of multiplexing an still image with sound, that way you can do 2) and 3) in just one step and also my NTSC/PAL conversion problem will not appear, since the "audio" stream will be explicitly PAL. But I think that kind of "still+audio" stream is not possible :sly:
