Size of second image 2 big

I'm using 1.0.7 build 3 And it seems that the second image is cut just a little to big to fit on an 80 minute cd, so i'm forced to overburn. I have done to movies now both had the same results.
Bitrate tab cdsize is set to "800"

this started with 1.0.6 build 4 I believe. I've unchecked overlap, etc. and it still requires overburning.

Strange, I have been converting a lot of movies and I have yet to see a too big last cd image, would you two mind mailing me your DVD2SVCD.ini files and I will have a look.

the total file size of chainsaw's encode is 1614.3 MB, which is smaller than 2 80min CD (1615 MB at CD XA mode 2) without overburn. You (chainsaw, mrbass, and anybody with this problem) could avoid to overburn by editing "bbmpegfilesize=XX" in .d2s project file, using 797 (or 798) instead of 795.

@dvd2svcd yes i havent had this problem either until now, so i was scratching my head. SO far i've done 2 movies both with the same results, i went ahead and have emailed you the dvd2svcd.ini file and the bbmpeg ini files.

I deleted my inis cause i reformatted my 2 encoding boxes this weekend, but just for the records, i have had 2 situations in the past:

1) last image was bigger than 80:00 (got a 81:02 once)
2) 110 mns movie, changed bitrate tab to make it like : "from 100 mns to 120, use 3 740mb cds". in the end, i got 2 740mb cds and 1 with 400mb. wasnt really what i was hoping for.


From my head, i can just remember i was using Max 2495, Min 300, Min Avg not selected and max avg 2230. audio 224. tried cce and tmpg, same results.

First off, since this is my first post, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to DVD2SVCD for his absolutely excellent effort in writing and constantly supporting this fine program! Many thanks!

I too was having a problem with the last CD image being too large to burn on a 800mb CDR using v1.0.7 Build 3 (unless, of course, I overburned). However, the Build 4 fix for the "overlap bug" appears to have worked! Using Build 4, I backed up two movies (that previously produced a too large second cd image) and now all images fit perfectly!

1797MB splitted on 740MB CDs are about 2*740 + 316MB

So you have to increase your max.avg to fill 3 CDs with a movie of 110 min.
Or you can save much time if you do CBR with ~2700kb/s if your DVD support this high rates.
Just increase your max to the highest rate your Player support and do a CBR, DVD2SVCD will calculate the right bitrate.

hey there...I've only acquired the program pretty recently and made about half a dozen movies in one go with dvd2svcd latest version (build 3) and I've noticed several of the cds too have gone over the time by just a few seconds (my blank cd was 79mins 57seconds accordin to nero but the image required 80mins 05secs) - so I had to overburn.

not sure if it will help, but I imagine that if in the bitrate section where you choose for it to say for example split it to 2 cds of 80mins or 800mb, change that to saying 2 x 795 or 790mb or 79mins so it tries to limit itself just a touch below.

I haven't had chance to try that yet but I can't see it being a problem.

Perhaps some people are having same problem too as 80mins but if using software like fireburner it doesnt tell u if its overburning so maybe they're not realising unless they went to a different writer that wouldn't support overburning which is how I noticed
