Alright, my DVD player (Samsung M101) can play VCDS fine but when I try to play SVCDs is gets kinda wierd. The SVCD loads fine and the movie starts fine but after a minute or so it starts to skip a bit. About every 5 seconds it will skip. The lights on the front of the DVD player dim as it plays the cd too. :)

Is there anything I can do to make it not skip? If not, I can convert it to VCD...but I want really good wuality. Does anyone have a really high quality VCD template for TMPGEnc?

It may be the bitrate the SVCD is made at - I have a Pioneer that will play VBR SVCD's fine and CBR's under 2500 - Above 2500 I get skipping and audio problems - this may be the case with yours - first try to encode using VBR or a lower bitrate using CBR - if that doesnt work then just go out and buy a new player (like an Apex for $70) that will play virtually anything - hehe
