Hi D2S, I have been playing with DVD2SVD *again* now that you've added TMPGENC support. I really like what you have done...
Just before you released support for TMPGENC, I was playing with manually cutting SVCDs using TMPGENC. It was really good that I had the control to CLIP and specify SOURCE RANGE. I was able to clip the video (guess this is not that important) and secondly be able to determine where the 1st CD ends and the 2nd starts. If I did a single disk encode, I can even follow DOOM9's guide and put the chapters in. The only draw back with the manual method was trying to "GUESS" the CQ value.
Now you've done away with all the time I've wasted encoding and reencoding a movie to get the right setting. But I miss the ability to have some control as to where a movie is cut. If I had some control, I might be able to find a better CUT_SCENE or even CHAPTER position to cut the movie. The other reason is so I can fill 1 CD and leave enough room on the second CD for other things that might be only 3-5 minutes or 10-30 minutes long.
If you think this is a good idea, it would be need to add it to your TODO list as well ;)
