I have just made my first SVCD using SVCD2AVI ver 1.0.7 build 1,
it took roughly 22 hours for the complete process on a P3 733 256 meg ram, that isnt so much the problem though. Upon completion i played the SVCD in both my pc and my home DVD player and it appears to be playing at a slower rate then the original, the audio and video are both in sync. Is it possible that because the original DVD (Alice in Chains Unplugged) was NTSC and i selected to convert to PAL that it has gone wrong somewhere with frame rates? Thank you for your time.:)

Tell us what happens when you do a NTSC SVCD.

Try force Film = on. Automatic mode gave the same to me for a specific NTSC DVD.

Well I thought id try a PAL dvd for my next rip, again it took like 27 hours, result was awesome video quality awesome sound quality, just a pitty they werent in sync :/ , i dont understand what im doing wrong, and the problem now has become the time factor, i cant afford to waste a day for bad results, thanks you for your suggestions though, when i get some spare time i shall try them out, Thank you.

It is not that time consuming: check out the Q&A on how to rip specific chapters only using internal routines.

Good luck,
