I've been using DVD2SVCD for almost 2 months, so I'm a newbie, but my question is so appl. spec so I'm wrinting it here.
I've set the parameter of subtitle to SVCD but how can I see it on the movie. I'm using PowerDVD 4.
I've set the subtitle to permanent but again no subtitle on the film.
WHY???
Plz tell me what I did wrong?!
Thanks

First, as it is often mentioned here, no software DVD player can show S or C subtitles. (yet)Only permanent ones.
Second, try to give more details. Are subs ripped in your output folder?(a lot of *.bmp files). Are they ok, or are they black?
Also, doing a search here on "subtitles" will solve many problems.

No idea about why perm subs don't show up for you, but for selectable subs, I am afraid you have to buy a DVD player with SVCD and SVCD subtitle support (i.e. no Pioneer player :)) - there is just no software player which supports selectable SVCD subtitles, sorry.

if you set permanent and did a crash recovery, you have to reencode video. perhaps it's even better to start all over again.
