i came upon a divx and wanted to convert it to svcd. so i chose avi2svcd...3 pass vbr...max 2530...min 300...avg 2430...audio 192. i wasnt really satisfied with the resultant. there were a lil blockiness on the screen. IMHO the picture could have looked better. can someone suggest what i should do make the picture more crisp and clear? this is the first time i have used avi2svcd so im looking to see what seetings other people use. thnx for your time.

nobody has an opinion or knows anything about converting divx to svcd using dvd2svcd? :confused:

Why don't you try looking in the advanced section or do a search there are a few threads on AVI conversion going on.

Also remember that this is very new and only a few people do this.

I use AVI2SVCD for Divx conversion and it seem to me that the result is pretty good.
I use CCE with 4 Pass and for the bitrate I put (at max) 1h per CD and all the default settings from DVD2SVCD
From all the Divx I've mad (about 20) the main criterion was the quality of the DIVX. It have to be at least Divx 4, 640x??? and fit in at min 1 CD in multipass.
