Cant preview VOBid's with either VOBrator or DVD2AVI

What happens when I can't preview any of the VOB id's in video_ts.vob ?...I get a "failed to render graph" error message on VOB id 1 , 2 and 5 of the VIDEO_TS.VOB of Shrek. I can only playback Id 3 and 4 (still pictures of parental guidance warnings).

Use DVD2AVI? .... Tried that too, I press F5, the cursor simply goes from beginning to end and black screen.

So how am I supposed to tell whether I can keep or delete VOB id's 1, 2 and 5?

I'm having the same problem except with all VOB Id's. None will play in either of the above programs, nor can I get the IfoEdit DVD Play function to work. Did you ever figure this out? Is there an alternate method to view VOB ID's?? thanks.

Hello,

I am a fairly new guy myself, but it sounds like you are trying to view the .vobs directly from the DVD. You must first rip the .vobs from the DVD using the ripper of your choosing. Vobs still on the DVD, more than likely, are still in an encrypted format, so you can't view them directly.

I actually have all the DVD files decrypted to my HD. I dont think that's it. Any help on viewing VOB ID's?

I am also having this problem I have them ripped to my harddrive. I cant view any vob files. There are 7 all together. I am ripping oceans eleven

You guys haven't mentioned your rip software or methodology. You'll need to let folks know what you are using before you'll get much help.

I prefer SmartRipper in "movie" mode. It will automatically rip Angle 1 of the longest program chain.
