Read Error with TMPG

I am using Smart Ripper, DVD2AVI and TMPG 2.53 with XP. About 8 times out of 10 tries with TMPG I get a read error "Read error occurred at address 0047EFEI of module 'TMPGEnc.exe' with 023CO75A" Happens at a different place every time and produces different numbers. Any help would be appreciated as it gets very frustrating!

I am getting this same "read error at address ..." on many different .avs scripts with TMPG. Out of about 8 tries I havent managed to get a successful encode. Before this was happening I was getting multitudes of "floating point errors" amd the program would abort halfway. seems like i just cant get a good encode, i wonder what I am doing wrong. Just using DVD2SVCD with TMPGEnc newest version to rip and encode a dvd to svcd with most of the options default.

:)Upgraded to 512meg (from 256)of ram and since then have encoded LOADS of stuff with no problem whatsoever. Can think of no other reason for the dramatic improvement.
