View Full Version : Is there any program that can split an AVI at delta frames (i.e. not key frames)?

I'm in desperate need of a program capable of begining a cut at delta frames. Niether NanDub or VirtualDub can do it; whenever I try, it always begins the cut at the nearest key frame instead of where I set it. I have Adobe Premiere 6, but I haven't worked with it enough to know whether it can do this. Info appreciated, as always.

*edit -- Or if there's a program that could split an mpg at delta frames, that would work also, 'cause I can encode it to MPG2 without losing much quality. AVI is the only source I have of this video.

premiere is less advanced than Vdub regard this,
it even ignores what keyframes are......

impossible as well to cut mpgs at delta,
but the kf distance in mpgs is around half second, not 10 like in divx.

you could try a manual way:
re encode just the few seconds from the delta you need to the 1st kf
direct copy from the kf
then paste the little part that you re encoded with the other part.
