50 times was the maximum I did too.
This was, when I created IfoEdit :)

Well Pioneer sais, it can be erased 1000 times.
So if I notice that my DVD-RW want be rewritable anymore after a couple of times, then I'll return it to the store, and exchange it against a new one.

But until now it never happend to me.

Yeah same here, the most erases I've done so far is about 50 or so on a single disc and no probs yet. BTW, I only use quick erase so far, don't feel like waiting 1 hour to do a full. :D

Erased my pioneer dvd-rw dvs-rw470sd for about 100times, now itīs gone.
I think probably because I made a full erase (donīt laught), after the full erase the disc was once more rewriteable, than the disc was broken.
I ordered some new and I can tell you that I would never make a "full" erase once more.... (see it as a tip)
:D

I had read that you should INITIALLY do a full erase, first thing, and then you would never have to again...so I did, and have re-written probably 25 times and its been fine....its one of the ultra-generic ones too (no markings or labeling whatsoever).

I've written it at max 30 times, now it's gone...
I have 2 others, hope they will last longer, if not, 1000 times is slightly exagerated ... :-)

I bought a set of 10 generics, 5 of them are gone after only about 5-6 cycles... Got a different (more expensive) brand and it's still working after about 10 cycles.
