Following doom9s guide (great work) you have to encode the Video using Virtualdub. What I recognized is that Virtualdub always compresses videos to rgb. Using Xmpeg e.g. I can encode the video using YUV mode... where are the differences???

XviD works with YUV, if you give it RGB then it has to convert it to YUV which slows it down.

However, setting Virtual Dub to fast recompress can allow it to use YUV.
