Help please with Infoedit

Hi everyone
Been keeping an eye on this forum for a while,great information gathered from it.
I hope i may get some help?
Trying to rip just the main movie from fast+furious (PAL)
To bun to DVD-r.
Using info edit V0.88,This happens after i follow the guides on Doom's site.
The movies attributes seem to have changed from Pal to Ntsc
this also happened with V0.87

is this normal?Or what can i do to correct it?

This is absolutly normal.

If you're doing a Movie-only copy without menus, then IfoEdit just leaves the attributes for the Menu at zero, what will look like it's an NTSC movie.

But you've looked only at the attributes of the Menu.
You must look at the attributes of the Movie itself! They should be correct.

Thanks for the help Derrow,it worked 100%in Cyberhome set top
But not in PS2.

Used Prassie to burn audio + video folders,but i think it "FIXED"
something.Going to try a image creation (with infoedit,of course)
+ burn to see if this is ok in PS2.

I also added video_ts.vob to the video folder,is this needed or
would it have worked any way????

I know the PS2 can read the media as i made my own DVD with
a menue and music video in Sonic-My DVD,and it works ok.
Infoedit is brilliant and it is very user friendly if you
read Dooms guides,great work!!!!!!!!

Just to let you know i have never ripped anything before so
this was my first attempt so i am very pleased with the finished
product.

some dvd players wont read copied dvd's..
..i think its something to do with loosing the macrovision..

(just rereading the post and thought id clarify)
..we had a toshiba dvd player and i couldnt read ripped dvds, but it could read dvds that were copied directly to dvd-r (i.e. disk-to-disk burn)
ofcourse we could watch the damn movie because of macrovision (grr.. ..macrovision).. ..we i ripped the same movie and tried to run it in the toshie, i didnt work.. ..im thinking the same thing happens with the PS2.. ..if anyone has a hardware mod for this problem.. ..please share it.

The most DVD compliant burning software has to be Gear DVD Pro v6 from www.gearsoftware.com

It's one of the easiest too.

When you have your folder with all the vts files in you need to add a VIDEO_TS.VOB file to it. This doesn't even have to be the original VIDEO_TS.VOB file. Now do 'Get VTS Sectors'. This is very important and has to be done last.

Now launch Gear and select 'New DVD-Video' project and click 'Create'. It will then ask you for the folder that contains the vts files. Here it will verify that it is a fully compliant DVD. If you get an error when verifying, then there is probably no VIDEO_TS.VOB file in the folder or you haven't done the 'Get VTS sectors' last.

When it's verified just click on 'Write' and away you go.

Writing software that didn't work on PS2's or other standalone players will now work fine.
