Weird problem with my Standalone player

Ok I burned LOTR to dvd and it works fine in my PS2 and Xbox, BUT when I play it in my Toshiba standalone the screen is messed up, its split towards the middle almost like if im trying to play a PAL dvd. Very strange.....anyone have any ideas on why this is happeneing?

Apparently use of MPEG Repair to patch the MPEG file to include Pan and Scan information will fix this problem

The thread also indicates that the need to use is player specific: in my case LOTR plays fine in a Sanyo, but shows this error on a Sharp DVD player (if zoom is activated)

BTW I gave up a the Pan & SCan Mpeg Repair idea, when I saw the time cost
