Hi guys

As I wanna participate in the #PSBlackout as a protest against the decision of Sony to discontinue physical games in 2028, by taking my PS5 offline, and as the Amazon Prime app is buggy on the console anyway (see my thread about stutters in General Discussion), I wanted to try recording from a dedicated streaming box instead.

I tried the FireTV 4K Stick (1st Gen from 2018), and unfortunately, the recorded 5.1 Dolby Digital track has a low-pass at 15KHz only (instead of 18KHz from the PS5).

Can you guys recommend a streaming box that delivers at least 18KHz? It does not have to be a Fire TV.
Most important is the audio quality.
And if possible, it should support 1080i output, as I sometimes want to author the recording directly to BD-R.
The aforementioned 4K Stick supports 1080p only, forcing me to re-encode while applying IVTC.

I've had great success with my Zidoo Z9X Pro 4k. Zidoo makes very nice streamers based on Android but fully stripped from the Play store and other things. You can install custom APKs like Jellyfin and Kodi by using the web interface at http://your-local-ipv4-address:18888

Thanks, but I'd prefer something in the price range of the FireTV, so less than 50€ basically

EDIT: I borrowed a FireTV 4K Max (2nd Gen from 2023), and it has the exact same problem.
