It has been long overdue since the storage is 'a bit' more available than 25 years ago, and since many posts become difficult to understand without the attached pictures it's better to have them here, where they'll be safe than at some random uploadservice that'll delete them after a few years. So, from now on the attached files are unmoderated and feel free to upload your screenshots/samples or whatnot.
There are restrictions on filetypes, sizes and so on but if you find any of those stupid, just let me know and I'll consider changing them.

(Oh, by the way, dont abuse this. You will be banned, as well as your parents/kids/neighbours :rolleyes:)

you may care about this. used the attachments blow a post up and deleted it afterwards.
the file is still publicly accessible https://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=19174&stc=1&d=1781660097 i do not have an issue with that it may just trash the sever over a long time with data that isn't used. i also understand that mods may want to see what people accidently uploaded.

Many thanks, Swede for that extension to 512KB. 200KB had been too small for quality shots.
Plus you saved us from looking at more and more dead external links and guessing at lost content.

I still mourn all the pictures we lost back when tinypic died.
As someone who moved from tinypic to imgur to imgbox, this is definitely welcome as I don't have to keep changing hosts and the screenshots will actually be stored here forever. :D
