Hi everyone, this is Ivek23, long-time moderator and script updater for Personal Video Database.

As you know, our original website videodb.info has permanently gone offline. However, we have great news! The PVD community is alive and well.

Our main Python/Selenium developer, afrocuban, is back, and the administrator of our alternative forum has promised to keep the project running and hosted for the long term.

Imdb and curl error problem appeared in PVD MOD version. Namely, Imdb has completely blocked data transfer via curl program (curl is completely disabled and blocked by Imdb on its websites).

With Python and Selenium scripts, you can download information from the Imdb website. With Python (+Selenium) Chrome scripts, it often happens that Imdb recognizes Chrome and for each new version of Chrome, a new chronedriver.exe version is also required. There are fewer problems with the Firefox browser and the geckodriver.exe file does not need to be updated when Firefox is updated to a new version.

With Python and Selenium scripts you can now download information from the Imdb website.
