View Full Version : DGDecode 64bit buggy for me, 32bit flawless

I went from old AviSynth to the latest version 64bit Plus.
Therefor DGDecode and all other dll's are not exactly the same.

Bugs:
1. reading still pics from a DVD.
Some DVDs are now failing, pictures get left out, or are replaced with a green screen with some gibberish artifacts in some corner.
With the previous install, it worked perfectly.
I did cut out for instance 12 frames which were 12 different pictures, and then used the Loop() for each one to repeat it 30 times, (NTSC).
The pictures may sit anywhere on such a disk, so there will be a seek. I use Trim().
To explain the purpose here: I did some filtering with the pics because of wrong chroma shift or ringing artifacts etc., while the main video needs different filtering.

2. some DVDs take forever with seeking, when the script jumps from displaying the pics, to showing the video, which naturally will trigger a seek.
In general, seeking with DGDecode in my current 64bit install is often buggy.
This may be a deeper reason for issue 1 to happen, it does not find the correct frame or even its correct beginning and ending.

Special remark:
The problems are remaining the same, when I switch to a year 2010 or a 2025 version, the difference is being 64bit.

Is this a known bug, are there other implementations of DGDecode.dll around, that I can use?

DG stuff is supported over here:

Be prepared to provide a stream and describe the process to reproduce your issue.
