I'm not really sure if this is of interest, but I've been searching for an affordable option to get a licence for "DVDfab PlayerFab" to test if the most recent version still works with FindVUK and found one by buying a "DVDFab Player 5 Ultra lifetime" licence for less than 20EUR that finally is now a "PlayerFab" with 2 lifetime options:

DVD Player
Ultra HD Player

After buying the licence I got a serial number and had to insert it on the page https://www.dvdfab.cn/exchange-code.htm where you have to enter your email address on the 2nd page and now this licence is shown in my DVDfab account.

So imho this has been a good offer and I can only recommend to search for "old" lifetime licences of DVDfab products.

And funnily today a newsletter with discounts showed up in my mail inbox that might also be of interest:

StreamFab All-In-One Downloader Lifetime Licence (https://mut.de/products/streamfab-all-in-one-downloader-lifetime-lizenz) for 99EUR (valid until 2026.04.02)

So in general I think it's always a good idea to search for offers from DVDfab resellers ... (when you want or need a DVDfab product :D )

Where'd you find the deal for a lifetime license under 20 EUR?

Here:
rokomediashop (https://rokomedia-shop.de/?orderby=price&paged=1&s=dvdfab+lebenslang+player&product_cat=&post_type=product)

It's a german site - but it all worked fine.

I would not recommend DVDFab at all due to its licensing - it depends on online activation and unless they've changed something recently, it checks the license every time you run it. This means that even if they say lifetime, they can technically revoke it retroactively. Also, If they shut down the servers or vanish like AnyDVD, your "lifetime license" is gone and only cracked versions would run. Furthermore, even if you do use a crack to make it work, it relies on an online DB for BD decryption - if the servers shut down the BD functionality is gone forever (DVD should still work).

Personally, I use XReveal. It has a free version that should be sufficient for most people, and the pro version ($25/year or $45/lifetime) is a simple product key that is checked only locally, i.e. no online checks. While it does use an online DB for BD decryption, it also supports standard (offline) KEYDB.CFG files, so as long as you have an updated one that includes your movie's VUK or a recent enough DK, it will continue to work even if discontinued.
The only downside is that it's strictly a decryption tool, not an all in one package. You will need other tools for repacking, re-encoding etc.
