I have the spiderman trailer which is in mpeg1 format that I want to put on my DVD-R as a special feature. This is the first time I have tried to make dvd's but I have had alot of experience making vcd and svcd movies, so I'm going to apologize now if my question is too elementary. Hey we all gotta start somewhere!
I'm using spruce up to author my dvd's. When I try to open the mpeg1 video file I get a message saying invalid sampling rate. I'm guessing that I need to split the video from the audio so that it will work. I guess my problem is I don't know how to split the video and audio. I've tried using TMpeg and it gives me a floating decimal point error (or something of the nature) when I try to open the file. One website said to try ripping the audio out of the file using virtual dub and try again. So I ripped the audio to wav and tried again with the same error.
So my overall question is how do I get this mpeg1 file on my dvd?
My other question is how can I split the file into .m2v for video and .ac3 for audio?
Thanks
