aacskeys and UHD discs

Hi folks! I am in the process of dumping my entire blu-ray collection. It happens often that discs are not in the latest keydb.cfg, and with regular blu-rays, I have been quite successful with the aacskeys tool. It usually provides me with all keys I could dream of.

The tool seems to hang forever when working with a UHD disc though. Other tools like aacs_info manage to dump the VID at the very least, and I've often had success using Xreveal's web-based tool (https://xreveal.com/uk.html) to calculate the VUK with the VID obtained from aacs_info and a media key of a different version of the same movie actually present in keydb.cfg.

What is an enigma to me though is why aacskeys cannot process UHD discs. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is it supposed to be this way? Are others having success with it? BTW it occurs also with LibreDrive enabled (I have the paid version of MakeMKV).

Note: I am NOT looking to use DVDFab to obtain unit keys, I am after the VUK.

aacskeys only works on AACS 1.0 discs, since AFAIK the actual media key deriving algorithm between AACS 1.0 and 2.0 are different and the tool doesn't know about the differences. I don't know the exact reason it hangs but it probably gets stuck in an infinite loop somewhere trying to process it. Regardless, there are no public device keys for AACS 2.0 so it wouldn't be useful for UHD discs anyways until then.
