Hi Evrybody thanks for the support!
I'm real thankfull.
I have now reinstalled TMPGencoder. Now i starts after 50&.
I am doing a encode of a movie that is 1.30h. I'am now at 67%
and the time to go is above 8hours. I have already encode in about
16 hours! Is this normal? When I'm running Thunderbird 850
352ram?
I'm looking forward to se the result tonight! :)
/Thanks Tomas

I have now looked at the result of the 2pass.
It's better but not good. It's still blocks
in fast scenes.
maybe I should test CCE. :)
I'm going mad, I can't understand whats wrong

Hi I'm encoding jurasic park 3.
I did a little test an hour ago. I did the encode
in TMPGEnc without DVD2SVCD and then result got just
perfect. Isen't there anyone having exact the same problem?
I use DVD2SVCD ver 1.0.7 build 4. Is there someone
having problem with this version?
/Thanks Tomas

thomas,
i did the same thing too with tmpgenc and dvd2svcd tmpgenc. I think the problem with dvd2svcd tmpgenc is the max average bitrate 2230. Try setting it up the same as the max bitrate. I hope the dvd2svcd will consider to give an option not to use max ave bitrate when using tmpgenc.

It is my understanding that Dvd2svcd only passes the values in the max and min boxes to tmpg. The values in the min avg and max avg are not used.

ShinerSpoon,
So if i put 0 in max avergae bitrate it wont affect the quality of the enocode with dvd2svcd tmpgenc??

I was speaking of a CQ encode as it only uses the two values. I would assume it would pass the max average to tmpg for a 2 pass vbr. It would have to do so in order to function. The min average would not be used in that case. Tmpg remembers the values given it, so after an encode just relaunch tmpg and look.

Hi. I did a test with 2pass. Max bitrate = 2520 max average =2520
min 955. And it looked liked the other encode i did with MAx average 2230. The movie looked very bad in fast scenes.
Isen't there anyone who can post the exact values they are
using in dvd2svcd?
To get the best quality encode? :p
Isen't there anyone using TMPGEnc anymore?
/Thanx TOmas

with me, 2pass vbr, using "highest quality (slow)" setting and correct bitrates always made the square blocks non-appearing.
