Severe VHS ghosting and ringing artifacts

Trying to restore the recently available laserdisc of dragon's lair that contains old VHS footage.

As you can see the images have 2 types of issues. I don't know the exact technical terms but I see:

1. Oscillation after large color changes creating a wave patter and replicating high contrast edges
2. Large chroma leak around the yellow

I have been trying all the filters available without success (Amongst others: BlindDeHalo3, ChromaShift, Dehalo_alpha_MT2, dering, fft3dfilter, FixVHSOversharp2_5, Ghostbuster32, HaloBuster, hqdering, vsLGhost, etc.)

Would appreciate any advice and/or plugin recommendation.

Do those artifacts show up on your TV screen, or just in the capture?

What connection is used between the laserdisc player and your TV and/or your capture device?

I am asking because the first order of business is to make sure that these artifacts are "baked in" to the video and are not being introduced by the way the analog signal is being connected to your TV or digitizing hardware.

This laserdisc of Dragon's Lair shows no such artifact, but it may not be the same laserdisc:

Not sharing the link in case it is against policy but if you search "Dragon's Lair Enhanced Limited Edition 2002 Laserdisc NTSC" on archive.org, it should be easy to find.

The captures are from a digital file.

Here is the whole chain: original (like the one you shared on youtube) + behind the scene only available on VHS scenes -> Dragon's Lair Enhanced Limited Edition 2002 laser disc -> Captured with NTSC Domesday Duplicator RF dump -> decoded with "ld-decode --NTSC --V4300D_notch_filter" -> lossless video -> screenshots you see here.

So those artefacts were part of the repressed LD in 2002, and are unfortunately baked in.

Thank you, I appreciate the help. I already had tried vsLGhost but not with your parameters. It helps reducing some of noise but did not address the 2 largest issues. Thanks for the parameters, here are the results.

Issues still present:

1. The dark edges still duplicated and now smeared after vsLGhost (they were more discrete before vslGhost. But maybe it helps for another filter who knows
2. The chroma leak with the yellow of the jacket going beyond the dark edges.
