Bd rebuilder and ,truhd 7.1

Good day all,

I am converting a mvk with 4k video and audio. I am trying to get the truhd 7.1 audio track. I did the whole bd rebuilder process and tsmuxter and I burned the movie to disc. When I played the movie the audio was not playing. If I fast forward or skip through the movie, you can hear bits of the sound like distorted or something. Can someone please assist me on what's going on?

I have run into this issue before. I suspect it's because the Dolby TrueHD track is not retaining the Dolby Digital core audio track when you are muxing. It results in a non-compliant structure and won't work. So to get around this I have used StaxRip, imported my .mkv which separates out the audio tracks (usually Staxrip will output it in the same folder as the source and name it with "new" after). Then you need to use Command Prompt, go to your StaxRip folder (C:\Users\....\Videos\StaxRip-v2.48.0-x64\StaxRip-v2.48.0-x64\Apps\Audio\eac3to) for example and run a program called thdmerge.exe. So basically your command line would look like:

C:\Users\.... (this would be where your Staxrip folder is located)\StaxRip-v2.48.0-x64\StaxRip-v2.48.0-x64\Apps\Audio\eac3to\thdmerge.exe <path to your .thd file> <path to your .ac3 file> <path to output the new .thd file>... Basically that will spit out a Dolby TrueHD w/ AC3 core track which is compliant, that can then be imported into a program like TSMuxerGUI and muxed in with the video and subs.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and advise to just use AC3 5.1 640kbps which sounds excellent and you avoid all the issues dealing with Dolby THD audio tracks.
