Dear Forum-User,

which software 4k player for the PC is recommended? The VLC player only plays my 4k films with picture and audio from disc if I manually start the corresponding file from the drive. To start and decrypt 4k and Blu-Ray films from the PC drive I use xreveal and findvuk.
It's okay if I don't have any menus, the film starts immediately.
Without manually starting the movie in the VLC Player, file it runs but then without picture, only with sound.
Java required:
This Blu-ray disc requires Java for menu support. Java was not found on the system.
The disc is played without menus.

Hey schlimfi, sorry for the late answer. I use Leawo Blu‑ray Player (official link: https://www.leawo.com/blu-ray-player/). It's free, and the current version supports AACS2.0-encrypted 4K discs. Plus, if no JRE is installed on the system, the BD player plays but shows no menu. VLC's Blu-ray playback is handled by the libbluray library, which includes experimental support for BD-J menus. If libbluray doesn't find a good Java runtime and its libbluray.jar, it turns off menu parsing and switches to "no-menus" mode. On a lot of discs, this fallback can only find the audio stream (that's why it plays sound only) until you open the right .m2ts file manually.
