svcd query

with svcd, do i need like a plyin to watch it on WMP? I know for divx you need one.

I think I might go with using svcd. I have tried divx, but so far no luck :(, when encoding do the movies compress as well as divx avi movies do in a svcd program?

For watching SVCDs on your PC you need a MPEG2 player or codec. DVD players are able to read SVCD movies, but some better than others. (WinDVD is better than PowerDVD). You can use the media player if you install an MPEG2 reader codec, it can be found there : http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdtools.htm#codecs
