Questions about the Lite On 16x DVD drive

My no name 8x DVD drive died yesterday so I need a new one. I was all set to get a Pioneer drive until I noticed NewEgg has the Lite On 16x for $48(link (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=manufactory&catalog=55&manufactory=1336&DEPA=1)). So I was wondering if anyone had and experence with the Lite On 16x DVD drive? What are the ripping speeds like, is very loud and does it hold up?

I have the Liteon 16 x 1210b. There are different versions of this 16x drive and I couldn't tell you the difference. It is not that loud but not stand alone quiet. I believe nero may be able to slow down playback speeds and decrease sound, Try cdr-info.com for more info on this drive. It is very highly rated.
