Got this 2 disc 'Alien: Romulus (Ltd Steelbook)'
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Alien-Romulus-4K-Blu-ray/365397/

ASUS BW-16D1HT
(Modified) ASUS ODD FW Changer (24.08.2019) + UHD Friendly Firmwares + Latest MK Pack (20.07.2020)

Blu-ray disc works just fine. But not 4K.
4K loads and shows up in explorer but cannot be ripped to hdd.
Any ideas on this would be much appreciated.

Best regards,
varekai

Maybe unrelated, but MMKV 1.17.8 did work slow here, and I am happily back to 1.17.6.
ALIEN_ROMULUS UHD has 4 entries in keydb.cfg, 2 of them seem to be related.

No luck...
Downgraded to MakeMKV 1.17.6
Got these two:
keydb.cfg - Language English (26862 entries)
keydb.cfg - Language swe (101 entries)
Put them in the:
C:\Users\***\.MakeMKV folder.
They seem to be identical, tried both but same MMKV message:
'The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted'
Oh how I miss RedFox, things used to be so easy....

Edit:
How do you read the keydb.cfg?

Kind regards,
varekai

Drag-and drop the keydb.cfg onto any simple text editor, I use notepad++, search for string CTRL+F.
Mine is in path C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\aacs and has >150.000 entries, 159.906 lines.

Thanks!
I also use NotePad++, excellent for html and also subtitles srt, I use various regular expressions, editing is super fast.
Love how Don Ho clearly takes a stand in these troubled times!
Alien: Romulus 4K working fine now...
