Hello,
Can anyone confirm whether they are able to CAPTURE to ProRes (avi) with versions VirtualDub2 44282 (x86 & x64), and latest VirtualDub2.1 v2.1.2.655 (test build)?
I've tried many time with those versions and the process crashes with Error:
An integer division by zero occurred in module 'VirtualDUB'.
* VirtualDub2 44015 is the last version that Captures ProRes (avi) successfully.
Thanks in advance for any info/help.
PS.. I've attached the crash log.

I can confirm.
I also noticed that VD2 can freeze for a very long time after stopping the call. It seems to be encoding the video at that time, which is very strange.

I confirm.
VirtualDub 2_44015 - ok.
VirtualDub 2_44065 - crash.
This may be related to commit 170754 (https://sourceforge.net/p/vdfiltermod/code/ci/17075477d01434ea75f7f7e638b692b7cee1025b/) on the fix for ticket #293 (https://sourceforge.net/p/vdfiltermod/tickets/293/).

Then ProRes capturing may need a similar 'fix'..
Also, I noticed that drag-n-dropping captured (v44015) ProRes (avi) files triggers 2 error instances and crash of 'COM Surrogate' process on Windows 10.
So something's not right with those encodes, probaly related to the Metadata handling in those ProRes files (thumbnails...)

This does not apply to VirtualDub. You have a problem with the software that displays metadata and thumbnails for video files. You can also compare the behavior on clean Windows.

Ok, I understand.
I'll examine my Windows installation some more.
Thank you for the insight.
