I have searched the forums, dont seem to be able to see a answer so hoping someone can help.

ripped full dvd using various guides, smartripper, used ifoedit to get movie only and done vts sectors, region free etc etc.

I have burned this using vobburner with capitals for video_ts and audio_ts and it plays fine in my ps2, sound and chapters using infinity dvd-r. When I go to play it in any standalone it dont play. The only thing missing I can see is the video_ts.vob file. If i include that file from the original will this make the difference or is is the disc structure which is preventing it playing in standalone`s. It aint the media as I am playing infinity dvd-r with movies already ripped on them.

Help appreciated.

Or maybe your stand alone DVD player is one of the few that will not accept DVD-Rs. If it works on the PS2 the structure for the DVD is more than likely good, or else the PS2 wouldn't play it either. My guess would be you have a DVD player that isn't compatible with DVD-Rs or the media that you are using is not recognised by your standalone.
