I was making some modelines for 23.976 Hz, etc. in Linux when I noticed that some had slightly richer colour saturation/darker blacks (gamma?).
No modeline was bad, but some definitely had a reproducible difference in colour and this also extended to native resolution/refresh rates as well.
Surprising.. I would have expected that they would all have the same appearance, etc. if the resolution and refresh rate was the same for all.
Who knows, perhaps it's possible that the chip in the DP-to-DVI adapter was processing something different with the timings?
