"Resume" not working anymore beyond Dvd Architect 4.5 - Any way around this ?

Hello everyone. First, my appoligies if it's mot the right place to post this, as I didn't think this was too advanced as a question about a software. Feel free to move it appropriately if it doesn't belong there,

So, here it is. I've encountered an issue recently while attempting making dvds and blurays with DVD Architect. It seems that the "Resume" function doesn't work anymore whenever I use the version #7 of the software. Only with #4.5 (which does only DVDs, no Blurays, contrary to version #7). Everytime I try to author a dvd or a bluray and use this function, all it does is stop the disc instead of having resume the playbact. I checked with version 5 and 6 as well. They both present the same problem as #7 as well.

Is there anyway to either fix this or get around this problem (either with Dvd Architect or a third party program) ?

The given Blu-ray will break if you attempt to resume playback when no backup registry exists. This sounds like what may be going on. Check to make sure when leaving the title you'd like to return to that you're "calling" to the other title and not "jumping" to the other title. Also make sure the "MovieObject" for the title you're attempting to return to has its "Resume" flag set to "Suspend" and not "Discard".

Something else to keep in mind, the backup registry is only retained for the prior title you were playing. For example, while playing the Feature Presentation (Title 1) I return (Call Title 0) to the Top Menu (Title 0). Playing the same title (Play Title 0) or a different title (Play Title 2) at that point would result in the backup registry being cleared, i.e. playback of the Feature Presentation (Title 1) could no longer be resumed.

Take particular note of the "playing the same title" scenario. Your authoring software might very well be multiplexing your menus, i.e. the video playing in the background and menu are stored within the same M2TS file. If this is the case your authoring software might also be creating separate M2TS files for each menu page. If this is the case your backup registry is getting cleared anytime you navigate from one page to another while on the Top Menu.

I'm really not sure on how to do this with DVD Architect (unless you meant doing this with a 3rd party software like BDEdit). Can you provide visual exemples on how it should done with all this, please ?

I was speaking in general terms with regards to the Blu-ray format. I'd speak specifically to DVD Architect, but I don't own the software so. Not sure what features the software offers, how it may have rebranded the terminology, and what limitations might exist. That being said, I could provide screenshots from BDedit to go along with my prior post if you think that would be helpful.
