View Full Version : Post held for moderation -- did it violate community standards?

I have a new account, and I made a couple posts a number of days ago, which were held for moderation, and I've not subsequently seen them show up. Neither have I seen any notification in my email about why the post would not appear.

Is my account ghosted? Did I violate ToS somehow? Is there some way I must prove I am not a spammer? Are the moderators here overwhelmed, in general?

I would love to know what I might be doing wrong, before taking the time to write more posts.

Example thread where I posted a bug report, and it hasn't shown up: https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=163281&page=17

Thank you for taking a look!

Hi,

there are some automated rules that involves, amongst other things, the number of posts. I'm not really happy with how it works sometimes but it catches more spam posts than regular ones so we've left it active. I try to check in to catch these (as there are some unmoderated forums) but even the sun has it's spots. (Oh, it's now approved.)

Thank you for approving that one! I figured that it was most likely just lost in a pile of spam. There was another one pertaining to a KNLMeans filter bug, here, that I tried to post a few weeks back -- could you also take a look for that one? https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=171379&page=79

Thanks again!
