Hello dear community,

it is really frustrating.
I tried it so many times to use my 5 seperated wav channels with the DTS-HD Master Audio Suite Encode, to combine them to a single one DTS-HD file.
However, the job in the quere donīt want to start.
Even after one hour waiting.
I only see this pending, with no progress.

A picture from this situation, I have added.
deleted because is a know problem

I hope, somebody could give me a helpfull hint.

Thank you very much in advance.

AFAIR you should NOT be connected to internet; if even without being connected it still does not work, try to deactivate/disable the connection hardware (modem, ethernet etc.).

It needs a certain version of Java, IIRC.

From my experience using this "old" app, like Emulgator mentioned, does need a particular version of Java (which I think is old, and getting harder to find), BUT I had to run it on Windows 8/8.1, anything higher than that, and you see what it does (or doesn't do)

And a hint for the future, it's not a good idea to add attachments, they can take forever to be approved, better to use something like Imgur, or similar.

I would give this a try, and see if it suits your needs:-

Welcome to the forum dionys.

Please confirm than work the filler56789 solution (I need that modified file also to avoid the time-bomb).

With ffmpeg (like FTLOY say) we can create lossy dts but not DTS-MA.

I delete the attached jpg not needed to confirm the problem.

What you really need is Dolby Media Encoder 3.4.0 or higher !!!

dionys want DTS-MA, I don't know for what.

For me if I want losless audio I use FLAC, if I want only lossy I use AAC (qaac). I don't like Dolby at all (DRC and DN are not for me).

You are all so nice and helpfull.

I will try the solutions, you all have mentioned in your posts.
The reason, why I need dts is, that I want my dts 2.0 convert into dts 7.0 because of the better sound, when I integrate it into my bluray movie.

Till know I have used this particular older version of java.
I deactivated Windows Defender and my own antivirus programm on my laptop for my last try.
Furthermore, I have deconnected my WLAN network
Everything without luck.

I tried FFmpeg for a while, and yes, unfortunately not usable to create dts-hd files.

Dolby Media Encoder 3.4.0 is indeed a nice software.
However, my TV canīt play Dolby True HD, only DTS-HD, which I would prefer, because of the better audio quality.

And this hint with the attachment, I will definitely take heed for the future.

However tebasuna51, what did you mean with "(I need that modified file also to avoid the time-bomb)?
Which modified file?

And after I have read this.

All I have to do is, to install an old Windows 7 version onto my old second laptop with the workaround and it should work?

There is no other solution on a normal PC, without Wlan connection, or there is?

Another way to encode DTS is with MainConcept TotalCode. You need a multichannel RF64 as the input (it won't take wave64 or wav with length 0 or -1 for large files) and also manually map the channels with the GUI checkboxes to the DTS order because it won't do it automatically for DTS. It seems to be a surprisingly flawed program. Be careful with the selected mode. For full spectrum (in lossy) it has to be bluray disk and not digital delivery, and digital delivery can encode a smaller file without a core but that is probably not compatible with decoders.

Not sure if that will result in better sound, tho.

My TV won't play THD or FLAC, I used to use the process that you're having problems with, it's a lot of work, but....

DME doesn't just do THD !!

Have you tried converting to e-ac3 5.1 or 7.1 ??

To my ear, e-ac3 sounds a lot better than DTS=MA.

AS I SAID, ......

1) workaround = disable the WI-FI device; if it is a USB-stick, unplugging it while you use the DTS-HD encoder should be sufficient;

2) solution = replace the old DtsJobQueue.exe with the new one;

3) workaround ≠ solution; in other words, if you use the solution, you don't have to use the workaround;

4) compatibility-mode: right-click the file dtshd.EXE, or/and the shortcut to dtshd.EXE,
then choose "Properties", then click the "Compatibility" tab, then choose "Windows XP SP3" or "Windows 7", then click the "Apply" button.

Ah, now I finally understand, what "compatibility mode" means.
I didnīt know, how this works, till now.
Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, I canīt use e-ac3.
My 4K TV isnīt willing to accept it.

And the audio quality is indeed so much better.
I tried it with 5.1 and changed the sampling rate from 48 to 192.
And it was a so much better sound on my 7.1 sound system than the 2.0 version.
DTS-HD could make the audio quality on the peak.

Than I will try this solutions at next and shortly, I will give you my feedback, how
it worked.

Never heard of dbpoweramp, and it looks like it's still supported, there's a reasonably recent update :), might just have to give that a try :)

But I have to ask, what make & model is your TV that it can't play e-ac3 ??

It feels like a miracle, after so many missteps.
Thank you so much filler56789 and all the othe members of this great
community, whoīs advices lead me to success:)

And I have the 2016 topmodel from Samsung, donīt know the serial number at the moment, which still could play dts, till they have cancelled the support in 2018.
I think, Samsung hadnīt the e-ac3 licence at this time.

Dbpoweram is in my opinion one of the best and simpliest audio converter programs, I have used till now.
Since recently, it can also handle dts-audio, unfortnunately, it canīt convert audio formats into dts.

The variations of different audio formats isnīt so large.
But if you prefer Flac, mp3, wav and some more, I havenīt seen any other programm, with such a large variety of quality settings.
With it, I could get the best audio qualities out of these formats;)

It's always good to get the answers you're after, from the "community", doesn't always turn out that way, but it has for you :)

Yeah, your TV is a little old, but if it's still working, then it's good enough, I had a 2018 LG 4K TV die on me a few months ago, but I've got a bigger, better one, now.

Don't forget to give this a try, you might be able to do some format changes, then run it thru your now working app to get DTS-MA.
