I modernized my computer after 13 years. I finally found the time and resources. It is stationary so not ecological.
I built a computer 10 years ago so I decided to test myself in the new reality.
Component prices have not dropped in my country for two years. They are artificially high. There is no "Black Friday". Stationary stores went bankrupt, only online stores remained. The new AVX10 technology will be released in six months, so I've already bought the old ones.
No one from the online store answered my questions. I did not pay for the installation service. In the era of RODO the sender doesn't make a call because it costs money and does not want to be harassed. So it was a battle against technology.
What surprised me? YouTube: throw away the paste included with the processor. It doesn't meet temperature tests and you may run out. Buy a decent tested one. Nice to know after the fact.
Connecting the cables to the new board. It seems simple but don't confuse plus with minus. Cables not marked. The fan cables turned out to be too short. Leaving an old computer case isn't very good idea for ecology.
Does USB3 have the same input as USB2? There aren't. So the front panel needs to be replaced.
Is it worth buying SSB instead of SATA3? It turns out that SATA has already been discontinued. DVD/Bluray also discontinued.
Formatting USB for Windows 11. How to test whether it is worth installing?
I had a big problem with this. It turned out that FAT32 and exFAT are deprecated. Files are larger than 4GB. Use NTFS.
I formatted the USB downloaded the Windows 11 trial. What now? Installation error 0x8007025D.

Windows 10 is already discontinued, so you won't find drivers for the new version. The downloaded original drivers come with many memory-consuming features.

Was it worth it? The speed is incomparable. I was surprised that there is no term AVX512. This is a fiction in the 13th generation of Intel processors. DirectX 12 started working. It was unnoticeable in Windows 10.
