Hi, thanks for the reply, I wanted to use the integrated video card to accelerate the encoding
This is for decoding only. Use D3D11 under Win11 when you iGPU is the only or main GPU of your system. But I can tell you right away, the benefit, if any, is negligible with a fast CPU and a very weak iGPU like yours.
Use the default software decoder unless you know what you are doing. It's way less susceptible for errors if other software may occupy and interfere with your GPU during an encoding job.
EDIT: I never used this option, didn't even know it was there lately. @Kurt.noise: isn't this just for the preview window anyway?

Can be use within latest l-smash or bestsource indexing.

Indexing isn't working, and coding progress isn't showing. Version 02102025 is stable. This is the last stable version.
After indexing, ffms crashes. L-smash indexes endlessly without stopping.
When you start coding, the progress window does not show progress.
When encoding, svtav1psy set the bitrate to 7000 kbps, but the actual bitrate was 2700 kbps. I checked it three times.
Two-pass encoding.
This happened after updating the svtav1psy version.

How do I get the OneClick Encoder to copy over all the subtitle tracks from the source file automatically when selecting to encode an entire directory and not just a single file?
I've selected the proper languages in the preset settings. Source and destination container is Matroska, so subs are supported.
So far, no matter what I've tried the encoded files are missing their subs and I have to mux them in manually afterwards.
Sorry If I may have missed something obvious. I hardly ever used that oneclick thingy. :o

@LeXXuzz : what kind of subtitle tracks ? normally, they get automatically from input. Posting a logfile may help.
@Maxxr : you have to "force 10 bits" from video codec settings or put a extra line as ConvertBits(10) at the end of your avs script.

Hi,
Just did few tests on my own :
filename = "Ça alors, comme c'est bizarre - 28 ans plus Tard.mkv" - input is a normal h264 video track. The file path also does not contain any special characters.
Using the File Indexer,
- DGSource : indexing ok / rendering ko
- FFVideoSource : indexing ok / rendering ko
- LSmashSource // LWLibavVideoSource : indexing ok / rendering ok
Using directly the AVS File Creator,
- BSVideoSource : indexing ok / rendering ok
So, I would say, this does not concern avisynth+ but much more what did you use as source. If you are looking for specifically hardware decoding support, I would say, go with L-Smash Works or BestSource plugins. Otherwise, ask developers/maintainers from other plugins to support special characters in filenames.
I just noticed that the very same files work in One-Click Encoder Mode WITH DGI used as indexer.
Logic tells me this can't be a problem with Avisynth or DGIndex but somewhere within MeGUI?

Do you use internal AvS? Try to select external one.

A logfile might be great here. iirc it's the same process, either the file indexer or the one-click engine.

I have Megui 6.6.6.6 20250716 portable. And I am trying to change the speed of an audio file. But when I try to change audio speed "slow down 25 to 24 with pitch correction", it gives error. I have checked the log and found this error:
--[Error] [10/29/2025 4:50:34 AM] An error occurred
---[NoImage] Script error: expected )'
---[NoImage] ((null), line 9, column 19)
I tried to do it on another computer, It gave error like this:
error occurred: Script error: There is no function named 'TimeStretchSSRC'.
How to fix these errors? Your help is much appreciated.

wait for the next release or update your avs script manually...

How do I update my avs script manually? When I encode audio, I don't get any avs script created by megui.
also, on that given link the owner said that the issue has been fixed, then how to downloaded that fixed version?

Small request... when I'm using the AutoEncode tool, I have it set to ask me to add/configure the extra tracks (audio, subtitle, chapters, etc). When I open the file interface to pick those files, it defaults to the last folder that I used for the previous encode.
And the problem I have is that when I've been encoding multiple seasons of TV shows, when encoding S##E01 of the next season, being forgetful and not always paying attention, I often start selecting the audio and subtitle tracks from the previous season and not the current one. Despite that I've opened my .AVS file for episode #1 for the next season from the next season's folder.
My request would be, can this default to using the same folder that the AVS or source file for encoding was selected from? Then it should be starting in the right directory off the bat and not need the user to manually switch to the same as the source input folder. And then my forgetful self won't need to manually remux all 12 of the episodes after they were automatically encoded with the right audio and subtitle tracks ;-)
Thank you for the consideration,
TRJB

This implies to change a lot of things internally. It's not just to take into account input path. Did you try drag & drop instead of the open files dialog ?

Yes, actually that's what I typically do, I drag and drop my .AVS file onto the Avisynth Script field on the main window's "Video Encoding" section. It doesn't matter, the input path for the audio and subtitle tracks still defaults to the path of the last encode.

Allright, I've made something (https://github.com/Kurtnoise-zeus/megui/commit/35c548588cf66bf1e4eed2d3d05234eb7aa0c8dd)...:)

Thanks Kurt, does that stuff also correct for the Chapters File path ?
(I see no mention of it in the mod, perhaps it uses same path as one of the other files)

Hey, is there any mirror for the update server, or maybe a way to download the necessary files manually? I can't access http://megui.org/auto/fork/ neither directly, nor through VPN.

For the above iz-Moff link I'm getting "403 Forbidden". [from the UK]
EDIT: I get the same from "http://megui.org/auto/stable/".

I don't get 403 (that's probably normal), i can't even ping the site.

I just committed it today. Forgot to add it yesterday.

Not as far I know...why do you need a mirror ? Access on megui.org is restricted.

Kurt, any chance that you could release the update please,
as it currently stands it is a bit infuriating when having to repeatedly change directories for each stream, especially when you have dozens+ of clips to render.
Thanx.

Hello, where is the Mistake? I can't code SVT-AV1-PSY av1m and I can't use the latest version of MeGUI on the server because it doesn't work for 4.8.1.
LoadPlugin("I:\MeGUI-x64-6.6.6.6_20250716\tools\avs\plugins\directshowsource.dll")
DirectShowSource("I:\Downloads\Nobody\nobody.mkv", fps=23.976, audio=false, convertfps=true).AssumeFPS(24000,1001)
ConvertBits(8)
#deinterlace
crop(0, 138, 0, -138)
LanczosResize(1920,800) # Lanczos (Sharp)
#denoise

Update your avs script using ConvertBits(10) or check "force 10 bits encoding" from encoder settings :

Unfortunately, this option is not available in this version, and if I want to use the newer versions on the server, it requires me to use net farmwork 4.8.1, which I cannot install on the server because it does not support this version.

Then, update your avs script : replace ConvertBits(8) by ConvertBits(10)
Why you cannot install the latest .Net Framework ?

disable the splash screen : no
disable automatic package disabling : right click and check "Enable" in the grid from the Update Tools Menu.

I mean permanently. After a while the package gets automatically disabled again.

When encoding av1, the bitrate problem still persists. 6252 is set according to fact 2668. The file extension is MKV, but we still get .ifv

In what way this is a bug ? target bitrate depends highly on the content itself. Maybe that does not required more bits, who knows. Did you try another encoders like x264 or x265 in order to see how it goes ? svt-av1-psy is not yet optimized for target bitrate but much more on crf stuff...
stimco

x264 or x265 accurately deliver the requested bitrate. This has been verified multiple times.
Kurt.noise
23rd November 2025, 08:08
This kind of crappy movie does not deserve more bits actually.
I've already told you why in my previous reply.

@stimco
I make a test with a very simple video encoded with SVT-AV1 and your parameters and obtain a very low bitrate like you.
Check your logfile:
1) The parameters are sended correctly to SvtAv1EncApp.exe, then it is not a MeGUI problem.
2) The encoder know the desired bitrate but seems not need more, in my sample:
--[Information] [23/11/2025 8:01:03] Final statistics
---[Information] [23/11/2025 8:01:03] Video Bitrate Desired: 5548 kbit/s
---[Information] [23/11/2025 8:01:03] Video Bitrate Obtained (approximate): 187 kbit/s
Like you see there are a big difference and it is a feature of the encoder.

Clearly a problem with the codec and NOT MeGUI.
So this should better be discussed in the appropriate forums and not here where no one can tell why that codec doesn't use the desired bitrate.
It's either by design or a bug.

Maybe it's worth using a different codec option. SVT-AV1-HDR / SVT-AV1-Essential, for example.
