I recently bought a Panasonic LF-D311 barebones DVD burner; no software other than drivers.
I've done a few DVD-Rs, using NERO and PRASSI, but would like to know if and how I could use a DVD-RAM disk for testing various video settings.
Once or twice I've ruined a DVD-R blank, and thought the DVD-RAM would eliminate that.
However, I can't seem to figure out how to use the DVD-RAM disk.
Can someone suggest specific software and settings? Thanx.

i don't think any standalone player will play DVD-RAM.
I have the panasonic lf-d311 RAMBO drive (dvd-ram).
check the information on the panasonic web site...my rambo drive will not write to dvd-r discs.

i had to get a Pioneer A03 drive to do dvd-r tests.
