Going to buy the Sony A7 IV with internal 10-bit 4:2:2 recording in UHD and has prior to this used the Sony A6300 in slog2. Has anybody here had any experience of shooting in slog3/HLG3 or any other modes to get a good dynamic range yet low noise level? Many report that slog3 has alot of noise and low detail retention especially in low light situations.
I have made LUTs for slog2 that I want to use in post so I would like to stick to one profile if possible but otherwise I will have to compromise. Also how can slog3 in zebra mode keep from clipping above 100%? Many (including Sony) recommend overexposing up to 2 stops but I cannot wrap my head around this. If zebra is set to 100% then if above its clipping and no info above 100% will be?
I mean 0-1024?
