Gee, I didn't know I could get money for all the scripts I've posted. What a great idea! Please send money to:

John Meyer Retirement Fund
123 Main St.
USA

Haha good idea John! ;)

I agree.

Of course you can get money from me, if you have a script that works better than mine. For now, just provide the video result of the script.
I will send you the money and you will send me the script. I would rather pay for you than pay for other softwares(Topaz,AVCLabs,HitPaw,VanceAI Enhancers)
Why? If the script you will send me can work better than mine, it means it can work better than the other softwares.
Because it's obvious that mine works better than the other softwares.

I'm already looking for a software that would give a good(realistic, without detail loss, natural) result on video enhancement. But I can't find it.
That's why I'm trying to write an enhancement script.

So I would be grateful to you if you could send me a script that would work better than mine.

NOT:What I wrote applies to everyone.

He has retired on a tropical island with a huge harem and a money pool where to have divings.

I can give the scripts but I need financial support.
This way we can make the scripts better.

I'm not planning to quit. I'm planning to improve my method constantly.
By the way, I believe we can create much better together.

I used MeGUI for encoding with the settings used in the video below.

What do you think about the results, encoding with MeGUI and the settings?

I think the results are good in terms of quality and file size but realized it is very slow to encode with that settings of MeGUI.
So can you help me with this problem? What is your encoding recommendation to get the best quality and small file size?

I still don't know if I've done anything significant. No one commented positively except for a few people.

Maybe I'm wrong but when I try many video enhancement softwares/scripts, I can't get a good result(natural, realistic, without deformaties and detail loss)
on video enhancement(denoising, resizing, sharpening).

If you think I'm wrong, can you please provide before(original) and after(enhanced) videos or any software/script.

For example, I prefer my AviSynth script to enhance videos I have. But if you recommend a better software/script, I would prefer it.

So which softwares/scripts do you prefer to enhance videos you have?

Or, would you prefer my Avisynth script after looking at the enhanced results? YES or NO? Why?

My AviSynth script has the feature of eliminating the side effects of AviSynth plugins.
If we don't eliminate the side effects of AviSynth plugins, it is impossible to get a natural/realistic result.

Also the lines in my script are not written sequentially as in the example below, but rather nested and complicated.

AVISource("sample.avi")
SRestore(frate=23.976)
Stab(dxmax=4, dymax=4, mirror=15)
ColorMatrix(mode="rec.601->rec.709")
Santiag()
dehalo_alpha(rx=2.5, ry=2.0)
nnedi3_rpow2(2, cshift="Spline36Resize", fwidth=960, fheight=720)
aWarpSharp2(depth=5)
Sharpen(0.5)
ChromaShiftSP(x=-1, y=1)
TemporalDegrain2()

NOT: These are not the plugins I used for my script and I wrote the code randomly.

So, you wanted to say that you are capable of writing cryptic code and wrote some random code(/strange combination and oder of filters) for amusement?
Sorry, I don't get the intention behind that post.

My AviSynth script has the feature of eliminating the side effects of AviSynth plugins.
Care to elaborate on that?

The result is not natural/realistic. Looks very flat, has too much detail loss and a plastic view.
I would still prefer it when watching the clip (in a normal setting) over the results you showed so far. :)

If we don't eliminate the side effects of AviSynth plugins, it is impossible to get a natural/realistic result.
Unless you use something like diffusion model which basically invent details&co you will basically always loose information when filtering.

I use EZdenoise_v4, EZdenoise(thSAD=300) for my Video Enhancement Script. When I lower thSAD to 150, I'm getting more natural result and less detail loss but it is weak about denoising.

Can you help me with modifying EZdenoise_v4 to get an effective result about denoising without loss of detail?

Try something like SMDegrain instead.
If there was an obvious way to denoise without removing details, we would use it all,..
The problem is that nobody has come up with a way to reliably identify noise or details. So everything out there uses some heuristics/guesses what is noise and should be removed. :D
All the different DeNoise&Degrain filters are just different approaches to separate details from noise.

As a side note: If you want to remove compression artifacts and not noise, you might want to look into Oyster (it's probably too slow for most cases, but it can produce nice results when adjusted to the source.)

LWLibavVideoSource("C:\Users\Admin\Input.mkv") <-- or any source filter of your choice.
EZdenoise(TR=8, Chroma=true, out16=true)
ConvertBits(10, dither=1)
Prefetch(4)

Quality/SpeedUp trade-off: Use TR=X where X is any value. Higher=slower but more noise removed.
Quality: Chroma=true, out16=true. Higher quality at the cost of speed.
Quality: Use ConvertBits(10, dither=1) for 10bit encodes, otherwise use 8.
SpeedUp: Use Prefetch(X) where X is half of your "Logical processors"

Personally, I prefer pictures a little blurry than looking like they've been sharpened.

I let my guard down and managed to find myself involved in this via PM a few days ago, so here's my contribution to the encoding of Original 1. It's not as sharp as other offerings, but at least bits of the picture aren't wobbling around. Well... very little.

Encoded Sample.mkv (https://files.videohelp.com/u/210984/Encoded%20Sample.mkv)

ConvertBits(16)
ConvertToYUV420()
Stab()
CropResize(1024,768, 2,2,-2,0)
QTGMC(InputType=1, EzDenoise=1.0, Preset="very slow")
LSFMod(Strength=75)
GradFun3Plus()
ConvertBits(8, Dither=0)

The second sample has noise in the form of background "mush"' for want of a better description. Can it be de-mushed without losing at least a tiny amount of detai?

@ ingoldie,
I forgot to answer your question regarding the MDegrainNL functions I sent you. Try specifying Precise=true to see how much better that works, or doesn't as the case may be. It'll be slower.

@ Everyone else,
The MDegrainNL functions I just mentioned are much like the EzDenoise function posted above, only with more bells and whistles. MDegrainNLS is much like the MCDegrainSharp function, because it can sharpen.....

I offered the above explanation because it felt a bit rude, mentioning something in a post here that we'd only referred to via PM, so now I don't feel rude.... and if anyone wants to try the functions, there's a link below. They usually remove very fine noise or film grain quite well, but I don't use them for much more than that.

Side question: Is the source some old XviD encode or something like that?
Doesn't seem like a DVD or VHS capture or similar,... 512x384 RGB @25fps doesn't really match to any of the usual sources.

Made a few changes to fix the errors I was getting, it gives pretty good results and I'm sure people could definitely improve upon this.

I will definitely share the scripts in return for financial support, but I don't know how to prove it.
Why I want financial support? Because I want to devote all my time to this job instead of working in another job.
To achieve a better result.
By the way, an invention that makes money for its inventor is more respected.

I think the results are good enough now. If I share my AviSynth Video Enhancement Script we can improve upon it together to get better results.

Do you know of an organization that can provide me with financial support?

Do you think you're going to make a living off developing an Avisynth script?

Try GoFundMe. That may give you some realistic feedback about the potential of your project.

I don't understand whether you despise AviSynth or care about it very much.

On the one hand, you spend a lot of time on AviSynth, and on the other hand, you don't care much about an AviSynth script that gives such realistic and natural enhanced results.

GoFundMe is not available in the country I live.

I'm plannig on a GUI that I will be able to insert my AviSynth Video Enhancement Script into it.

Here is the GUI on my mind;

https://i.ibb.co/bMhsXxJ2/A1.png (https://ibb.co/ksn4Xp19)

https://i.ibb.co/tPwddZ8B/A2.png (https://ibb.co/G3fhhsc7)

https://i.ibb.co/BV5qgyyK/A3.jpg (https://ibb.co/LzXnCxxh)

Save; To save video files without converting their own formats

Triangular Black Button; It will view the original. Clicking on it will view the enhanced result to compare the original and the result (it will turn upside down)

What do you think about it?

No, reason for his GUI is to obfuscate his avs script he wants to sell you.
Just ignore him, he's been trolling with same nonsense for a decade. Basically, he's fishing for noobs' money.

It was more of a rhetorical question from me.
