YouTube is always changing, and always changing for worse...
As Frank62 already said, forget youtube-dl and use yt-dlp from now on.

A fairly reasonable FireFox addon downloader is "Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express",
I usually just search for "express" and comes up near (or at the) top of list.

Sometimes stops working for a day or two when YT change stuff (then needs update).

EDIT: Sometimes YT gets a bit "uppety", and then does not show 720p down link (which is what I usually choose),
an F5 refresh page usually fixes that.
