Cce Bitrate Settings?? Help

HI,
Ok , I wanna encode my captured avi's ( DVcam) by CCE 2.5 !to then later put on SVCD
Can someone please help me with the right bitrate settings for good quality.
Did some testings and the came out worse then TMPG!
I did one pass vbr on 2 300 2400
tried 3 passes on 2176 0 2400..and lot's more
Do I alsohave to uncheck the upperfield first option ( read it somewhere cause I'm using dv captures)
I really hope someone can help me I'm about to give up !! but I don't wanna!!!:confused:

You could try Max 2496 min 755 max.avg 2230 Also in your Avisynth script use the BicubicResize b 0.00 c 0.50. Also if you dont mind on the time it takes to do a 5 pass vbr do that, but if time is an issue do the 4 pass vbr.
