Hi,
does anyone use nvencc for archive UHD Films with HDR/DV ?
I don't want to discuss, whether this is a good decision. I know, that x265 should be better.
So, if anyone use nvencc it would be nice to share the settings.
Did you use vbr 2pass-full or qvbr?
What is your experience...
I use these settings: (GPU is Turing)
lookahead 32
2pass-full
vbr 25000
max-bitrate 40000
gop-len 600 (read about that will get better bitrate distirbution)
ref 6
bframes 5
bref-mode each
mv-precision Q-Pelsp
preset Quality
aq
aq-strength 0
aq-temporal (use both, temporal and spatial?)
