I'm sorry if I'm bringing up anything redundantly, but I just want to be clear on the concept.
Am I correct in believing that the a Firewire out can be connected to a Firewire in on a Samsung SIR-T165, then can be connected to a Firewire card on a PC and be captured?
I was looking at this old thread from 2007-2008: https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=129102
And the only reason I need more information/confirmation is because the use of a Firewire-to-USB converter getting involved. I'm just wondering if it's not necessary if you've got native Firewire all set up.
I just want to transfer all of the D-VHS tapes I have, including that of D-Theater before I sell my D-VHS VCR and go for a different kind of VCR.
Oh, also, can the SIR-T165 capture 5.1 audio where available, or will I need an alternative solution for that?
Thank you.
