Hi, the old TV-series Lexx was streamed on Amazon, and I wonder, do you think that it is really better picture-quality than the DVD-release? I think it looks a bit better, but I'm not that great at knowing what to look for when checking picture-quality (and I don't have 20/20 vision).

They're the same as far as I can tell. Although your DVD shots are not aspect correct from what it looks like.

I picked this series up as a cheap-o DVD box set from Walmart years ago and was never really impressed with the image quality anyway. In my mind it was fairly noisy, or that may have been the pilot/movie that launched the series.. It's been years since I looked at them though.

@osgZach. Thanks. Yeah, I think that they're quite similar too, but the Amazon-version looks a bit grainier (with that it have more details, but also more noise).
EDIT: Oh, BTW, weird that I didn't notice until now, that unfortunately, the AMAZON-release is quite cropped, probably to make it fit widescreen TVs...
