How do I make an DVD disc image (other than using DVD Decrypter)?

For some reason, DVD Decrypter would hang in ISO mode; my ASPI layer is working fine. Although Nero can make the disc image, ImageDrive refuses to mount it. Any other possibilities?

I got DVD Decrypter to work with my DVD-R, for some reason it doesn't like my internal DVD drive...:confused:

perhaps its a scratch on the dvd and your dvd-rom cant read past it.
dvd decrypter relies on the fact that your dvd drive will return some information when it asks for it..if it doesnt, because the drive is having trouble reading the disc or whatever, dvd decrypter may appear to hang.

When I use DVD Decrypter with my internal DVD drive, the reading light doesn't blink at all, so I think the problem lies elsewhere.

Sorry, I just presumed that when you said it hung, I thought it had actually started ripping. I take it that it finds your drive ok?
So when exactly does the problem occur? when you click on the transfer button? Do you ever get any error messages? Does it work ok in 'File' mode? (That would be most strange!).
