VirtualDub2: HUFFYUV won't do YUY2 in Windows 10

In both VirtualDub and VirtualDub2, under Windows 10, HUFFYUV ignores the YUY2 setting in the configuration window, so output is always RGB.

Could this be investigated, please?

I am creating video files using VirtualDub2, with the HUFFYUV codec.

In the configuration window, I click on "<-- convert to YUY2",
which should change the output color space from RGB to YUY2.
However, it ignores the setting, and the output is RGB.
This should not happen.

YUY2 color space compresses more than RGB color space,
so it is important to me.

In Vdub2:
Video->Compression->Huffyuv v2.1.1->PixelFormat: select 'No change' or 'YCbCr 4:2:2' for example.
(You have probably selected RGB there)

You should also not select the default, Menu/Video/Full Processing -
mode, should be either Fast Recompress OR Normal Recompress.
Otherwise you provide the HuffYUV compressor with RGB (when Full Processing mode).
You should also select in HuffYUV config, something like (I dont have HuffYUV installed)
RGB>YUV, and one of the other options, Something like "Left Median" - Fastest ... or something like that.
