You should upload the image to an external image hosting site since attachments can sometimes take a while to get approved. Also if it's just an error message, you can simply just copied it and paste it here.

I have a daily working Win10 PC running;
VirtualDub2
AviSynth+
WinFF 1.5.5

VirtualDub2
File -> Open Video File
It works on mp4/avi/vob files without problem.

But
File -> Start Frame Server
No response.

The graphics of the daily working PC comes from AMD CPU, without graphic card installed. I suspect whether VirtualDub2 and AviSynth+ needs a graphic card to work.

I just installed;
AviSynth+
VirtualDub 1.10.4
WinFF-1.5.5

on this spare Win10 PC with graphic card installed. Now I encounter this problem.

You can't "enhance" video quality, you can make only changes that you find subjectively more "good looking", like you can sharpen a bluray if it's been upscaled with a soft resize like bilinear, but the sharpening won't create details out of nothing, but you might find it nicer to watch and so on.

If you want to start using avisynth I suggest you install Avisynth+ and download
this (https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=175823) editor that will aid you in writing Avisynth scripts.

I don't know of any tutorial around, at least not updated. However the general workflow is like that (I will write some filter to start with).

-IVTC/Deinterlacing (TIVTC.dll, QTGMC.avsi)
-Degrain (mvtools2.dll/fft3dfilter.dll)
-Sharpening (LSFMOD.avsi, RgTools.dll, masktools2.dll)
-Resize (resampleMT.dll)
-Debanding (flash3kyuu_deband.dll)

There are also many other things to do, but generally, you don't need them, also each of the above steps might be skipped if your source doesn't need them.

For example, I have a Bluray Anime source that I encoded by doing only sharpening since the rest wasn't needed.

You want to start with the above filters, and ask feedback on the forum for each step. I'm writing very basic things because your question led me to infer that you are new to avisynth, if not, don't mind me.

What I don't resolve is the steps to be performed in running AvsPmod;

Steps:-
Start AvsPmod
-> Open -> video file (for this test)
type in;
IVTC (what to be added here)
Degrain (what to be added here)
Sharpening (what to be added here)
etc.

Pls refers to screenshot_avspmod_window

After finish;
-> Save script as test.avs

Then start VirtualDub2
drag test.avs over to VirtualDub2 window
if satisfied;
File -> Save video

if not satisfied;
edit the script test.avs
again;
start VirtualDub2
drag test.avs over to VirtualDub2 window
if satisfied;
File -> Save video

Fortunately it is convenient for me testing new software. I'm running Oracle VituralBox and KVM here. I just clone a new VM/Guest. Also I have OS running on bare-metal SDD. I'm aware some software need a graphic card to work, not graphics from AMD CPU, such as DaVinci Resolve 17.

What amazing me is on this 2hr VHS tapes ripped on DVD by professional shop is;
Videos taken outdoor/nature are clear.
Videos taken indoor are not clear

I have trimmed the original video, .ovb, into 27 sections running ffmpeg. I'll retrofit only those vidoes captured indoor

All my postings are only for testing. Up-to-now I haven't find a workable solution to retrofit the unclear sections on the complete video ripped from VHS tape.

The videos captured on outdoor/nature are quite clear, not necessary to do further editing. Pls refers to the section of video captured on Niagara Falls in 1990, as example, upload to Dropbox;

No. Even the script failing on Video-1, it doesn't mean that it would fail on Video-2. I'm only testing and up-to-now haven't find a workable script.

You have to adjust this line according to your source filter and source, using a text editor or the editors of VirtualDub2 or AvsPmod.
Example:
Assuming your source is a xyz.VOB:
- Create the xyz.d2v index file with DGindex
- Adjust the line like Mpeg2Source("C:\.........\...path ....\xyz.d2v")

1) Run ffmpeg to trim a section of the unclear video from the original .VOB file and name it as may_home_1.VOB
2) Start VirtualDub2
-> File -> Open video file -> may_home_1.VOB
3) 2 images are displayed horizontally, side by side.
4) -> Tools -> Script Editor
5) On Virtual2 Script Editor screen
copy&paste following line on it;
QTGMC(EZDenoise=10,DenoiseMC=true,Sharpness=1.2, SLMode=1)


6) File -> Save & Refresh
as may_home_1_script.avs

7) Again on VirtualDub2 screen
-> click [arrow-1 button](left button) to activate the script
(pls refers to screenshot_01)
8) on VirtualDub2 screen
File -> Save Video
as may_home_1.mkv

Edit the script on Notepad and save it as script.avs
Start VirtualDub2 and drag&drop script.avs on its window
File -> Save Video

2)
Method-2
Start VirtualDub2
File -> Open Video file
Tools -> Script Editor
type in the lines of the script
-> Save script
Again on VirtualDub2
File -> Save Video

I made following tests:-

You can compare the difference.

The scenes on video were captured in different rooms (of different environment). It would be difficult applying one setting throughout the whole video.
