Hi!
I want to convert some AVI-Files to SVCD. I would like to add some
subtitles I found somewhere on the net. How can I do this with dvd2svcd?
Thx,
Uli

Dear Uli,
I'm also investigating this. As far as I know it should be possible by playing around with project position in the d2s file.
More specific I plan to try the following when I have some time for experimenting :)
1. Convert AVI without subtitles ( no choice there have we? :)
2. Make a small project ( a minute or so ) with subtitles and copy the d2s file after CCE.
3. Merge and copy this d2s file with the d2s file in the AVI project directory
4. I had a srt subtitle file. I used something like srt2ssa tool, and the maestro SBT to render the bmp files ( This succeeded :)
5. Then do a crash recovery with the merged d2s file and select the step after CCE encoding. Hopefully this gives the desired result.
Other readers probably think now : I know a MUCH better way! Well please tell us/me!!!!
Anyhow, if you find/know a better way, please let us know, or mail me at nr@europe.com!

Hello!
1) SubAdjust: .sub,.srt, ... ---> .SSA
2) MaestroSBT: .SSA ---> submux
3) use submux to mux SVCD(Philips) or CDV (-C option) subtitles
